2015 Programme launches!

Streatham Festival gave us a glimpse of what it has in store this year at its annual fundraising event, held on Thursday evening at the town’s hip Hideaway venue. The sound of New Orleans jazz ensured the evening went with a swing, as the sensational Dixie Ticklers shimmied onto the stage. The auction saw big bids from the packed audience as luxury items such as Chanel goodie bags and amazing experiences including brewery tours and personal trainers went under the hammer.

The programme highlights were also unveiled at the fundraiser and this year include:

This yearʼs Streatham Festival, which took place from July 11th until 14th, proved a huge success with crowds coming from within and outside of the borough to join in and enjoy the sunshine and festival spirit.

Among the first performances to attract crowds to Streatham estival shop was Battle of the Eyes, which saw the team create an abstract artwork which reflected the soul of Streathamʼs former theatre; from its days as the largest theatre outside the West End to its current role as a Bingo Hall.

This yearʼs festival theme is ʻThe Glamour Daysʼ and several pubs are putting on vintage themed music which will hark back to Streathamʼs former glory days when its theatre played host to all the West End plays.
