A little bit of history

Streatham Festival was started in 2002 by Mel Larsen. Just two events were programmed and over 600 audience members turned up. Now in it's 8th year, it has grown into an acclaimed week-long community arts festival with numerous events held in locations, from bars to churches and parks to youth centres, attracting over 10,000 people in 2009.

About SFA

The festival is put together by a group of volunteers, who make up the Streatham Festival Association. We are currently registering as a charity and are keen to grow into an organisation busy with arts events and activities in the SW16 area throughout the whole year. Currently the Chair of SFA is Paul Cutts; the Treasurer is Robert Doyle and the Secretary is Meeta Hitchens, plus several other elected trustees. Anna Godsiff is managing July 3rd's Top of the Common day.
